<p>When tasting, expect a deep purple or intense red color. The aroma is complex and expressive, with notes of ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry), black fruits, spices (pepper, cocoa), smoky and mineral touches, and sometimes nuances of Chinese ink. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh, and elegant, with present but assertive and well-integrated tannins. It boasts vibrant acidity, good mouthfeel, and a long, dry, and fresh finish, where fruit and spices linger, sometimes with a slight bitter note contrasting the fruit's sweetness. Vila Nova de Tazem (Serra da Estrela sub region) is a terroir where the labels “Textura da Estrela” comes from. This is a low intervention red wine in which we do short pump-overs in the first days of fermentation and then only cap management. Results in a very typical Dão reflecting their genuine terroir and sense of place</p>
