<p></p><p>Maçanita is a project by two brothers and winemakers who explored the terroirs of the Douro. They are so many and so different that in 1935 a system of classes from Letra A to Letra F, with the right to benefit, and without the right below Letra F began and continues to this day. In Letter A are the plots with the greatest maturity and which brought so much fame to the Douro; in Letters F and following, the opposite. With less power and concentration, they were pushed towards abandonment. But there are still forgotten treasures, vineyards planted in other times that confirm the existence of several Douros. This is one of them.</p>

<p></p><p>Pata D'Urso Red Wine is a complex wine that clearly shows the Douro terroir of the old vineyards of Furada in a warm year. Aromatic and balanced, on the nose with notes of wild berries and some spice, in the mouth the wood is very well integrated into the wine, making it smooth, silky and delicate, with good volume and excellent acidity that makes the finish very persistent and appetising.</p>

<p></p><p>Xaino Red Wine was made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinto Cão vineyards coming from our best plots located at about 450 meters high. Intense and deep red color and a very fresh and fruity aromas (berries, black cherries and spices). The palate is very concentrated showing good acidity, soft tannins, long and lingering finish.</p> <p>It should be served at room temperature 16/18°C.</p>

Elegant on the palate with a good acidity and velvety tannins resulting in a well-structured and harmonious wine.</p> <p>Not submitted to filtration or stabilization operations, resulting in a normal formation of sediment.</p>

In the aroma, it highlights all the freshness of red and black fruit, with plenty of nuances of black currant, blackberry, berries and balsamic notes giving balance to the set. In the mouth, it shows a very powerful wine, with great intensity and structure from the stage in barrels where the natural acidity of the wine balances the whole, transferring to the wine an enormous elegance and finesse.</p>
