Herdade de Coelheiros is a family estate that has produced quality wines in the Alentejo since 1991.

Inserted in the demarcated region of the Alentejo, the estate stretches for about 800ha, including 50ha of vineyards in selected plots, 40ha of walnut orchards and a vast area of ​​mount where they freely graze sheep, deer and fallow deer. The richness of its biodiversity also includes a part of olive groves, dam and other animals such as ducks, hares and rabbits.
The vineyards, with an average altitude of 300 meters, are planted in seven small plots where the grape varieties can develop their potential side by side with the remaining crops of the estate. Each plot has a unique profile benefiting the soil of granite origin and the typical Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers that allow the grapes to mature well. The vines are currently in the process of conversion to Organic Production Mode.
The philosophy of Coelheiros passes through the minimal human intervention in the work of nature. In this way, a more natural expression of caste potential is guaranteed, reflecting the distinct profile of the terroir. Located a few meters from the vineyard, the cellar is equipped with the necessary technology to guarantee the control and quality of the wines. Each portion is vinified individually so that they can translate their full potential. The lots are then carefully selected by the oenology team in order to achieve the desired profile for each wine.
