Respiro Altitude is a white wine crafted from century-old vines planted between 550 and 675 meters above sea level in the Serra de São Mamede, in Portalegre (Alentejo). It’s a true field blend of around 14 to 16 native Portuguese grape varieties, including Arinto, Roupeiro, Fernão Pires, and Tamarez, all hand-harvested and vinified with minimal intervention. The wine undergoes natural fermentation and ages for 9 months on fine lees in concrete tanks. The result is a pure, structured wine with a limited annual production of just 1,300 bottles.
Respiro Altitude is highly gastronomic—ideal with grilled seafood, ceviche, baked fish, fresh salads, or vegetarian dishes. Its natural freshness and layered complexity make it a refined choice for lighter meals or warm-weather sipping.
It presents pale citrus in color, it opens with aromas of white and citrus fruits, subtle floral notes, a touch of vegetal character, and a marked mineral freshness. On the palate, it is vibrant and elegant, with firm acidity and a dry, textured finish.
