Damião de Goes was an honorable portuguese historian and humanist from the XVIth century. Was an incessant Traveller and published diverse works, some lead him to be chased by the Inquisition. This wine is produced with the main grape varieties of Alentejo, and aims to pay tribute to this notable portuguese.

<p></p><p>Quinta da Alameda Torreão Red Wine is made from Alfrocheiro and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, this red reflects the Dão region. The region's expressiveness can be found in the aromas of forest, wet earth transmitted by Alfrocheiro and red fruit by the Touriga Nacional. Elegance and character come through in the mouth, not too extracted and very well balanced.</p> <p> The Alfrocheiro variety's characteristic light colour gives it a floral nose, reminiscent of the woods and the humidity of autumn, while the Touriga intensifies the red fruit and bergamot, giving it a pleasant intense aroma. The wood on the nose is subtle, conveying soft notes of dried fruit. The palate is elegant with well-present but delicate tannins softened by the barrel, the acidity confers freshness and elegance, remaining intense in the mouth and showing great longevity.</p>
