Soalheiro Revirado is a complex, enveloping wine that is strange and then entrancing. On the nose, the closed aroma is reminiscent of burnt phosphorus, showing the profile of an Alvarinho with some reduction. On the palate, this wine has a markedly mineral profile due to the salinity that is felt given its origin in high altitude vineyards, and a singular complexity amplified by ageing in oak barrels.
The Revirado profile goes well with smoked and grilled fish or a salad with sea salt. It's an excellent combination with oysters and shellfish.

Soalheiro is the first Alvarinho brand in Melgaço (the northern point of Portugal) and one of the first portuguese producers of Alvarinho.
Revirado is an Alvarinho that is born on the slopes of the mountains that surround Portugal's northernmost territory. It was fermented and aged in spin barrels with high altitude sediments. There's still more we could have written about this wine, but it's best to discover it in the glass
