The nose shows a particular complexity, with notes of gum cistus and fresh spice, very well integrated with exuberant aromas of wild fruits. Elegant on the palate, rapidly evolving into a wine of excellent volume and a compact structure made of fresh, velvety-textured tannins. The finish is lingering and balanced. <p></p><p>The Quinta do Côtto, in Cidadelhe, relatively close to the Régua, is a property of 75 hectares of vineyard and a plot built in the eighteenth century. The owners of the farm, the Montez Champalimaud family, exclusively produced Port wine until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980 Miguel Champalimaud launched the first Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, consolidating the concept of Douro's quinta wines, which are still rare in the region.<br />The Quinta do Côtto brand has grown greatly in notoriety since then, until it became one of the most classic and prestigious references in the Douro region</p>

<p>Dona Berta Vinhas do Avõ White is a tranquil white wine produced by Hernâni Verdelho, under the Dona Berta brand. It hails from the Douro region in Portugal and is a blend of grape varieties from a century-old vineyard. This wine boasts a 13.5% alcohol content, achieved through a unique fermentation process that involves a third in Seguin Moreau French oak and the rest in stainless steel vats at approximately 18°C, with minimal sulfur intervention. <br /><br />When it comes to consumption and pairing, this wine's versatility shines through. If served between 8-10°C, it is perfect for drinking young, matched ideally with light seafood dishes. If aged for more than three years and served at 10-12°C, it pairs well with poultry dishes or cured, spiced cheeses. Despite its delicacy when consumed young, Dona Berta Vinhas do Avõ White demonstrates a robust structure and acidity that allows for significant aging potential.</p>
