CVD - Companhia dos Vinhos do Douro is located on the left bank of the river Douro, near Tabuaço (between the cities of Régua and Pinhão), in Quinta do Cabeço, having a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated Region.
Quinta do Cabeço is an 8-hectare estate with a fantastic exposure and an average altitude of 300 meters, which contributes to powerful, elegant and fresh wines. Here they produce 60% of the grapes, the rest are bought from small, strategically located vine growers, with whom they maintain a partnership relationship throughout the year so that all operations are controlled.
The grapes come from vineyards located in different parts of the Douro Valley which adds a rich portfolio of wines. These vines are aged between 15 and 50 years old, which is very important because it contributes to the diversity of flavors, intensities, aroma and other characteristics present in the wines. The main varieties of grapes used are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca.
