The nose shows a particular complexity, with notes of gum cistus and fresh spice, very well integrated with exuberant aromas of wild fruits. Elegant on the palate, rapidly evolving into a wine of excellent volume and a compact structure made of fresh, velvety-textured tannins. The finish is lingering and balanced. <p></p><p>Quinta do Côa is one of the first estates of the Douro Superior, planted in the 60’s of the last century. There they produce wines with organic grown grapes, to express the intensity and aromatic purity of the region, in the heart of the Douro International Natural Park and Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley</p>

<p></p><p>On the nose, very fresh and elegant with notes of wild berries and black cherries in balance with seductive nuances of licorice, the aroma being complexed by discrete wood notes. In the mouth, it is very concentrated, warm, with firm tannins and soft texture, very intense finish and persists to show strongly the strength of the wines of the Alto Douro.</p>
<p></p><p>Located in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta da Deserta has its vineyards rooted between the banks of the river Tavora and the river Douro, in schistose soils. The combination of very hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters results in low yields but with high quality grapes.<br />The products sold from Quinta da Deserta are certified.</p>
<p></p><p>The Alves de Sousa family has long traditions in the production of Port Wine. It was up to Domingos Alves de Sousa, a great lord of the Douro, to launch quiet wines in the 90s. Since then, some of the best topos of the region are his responsibility, seconded by his son Tialgo Alves Sousa</p>
