Maynard's Pink Port, the latest style of Port, is made in the same way as a traditional rosé wines with the free run juice from the first pressing of the grapes.
The grapes were harvested manually and stored in a refrigerated chamber for 24 hours in order to preserve their characteristics. This is followed by destemming and crushing into a stainless steel tank where a slight maceration occurs before the separation of the must from the skins. Alcoholic fermentation (AF) occurs slowly, at a controlled temperature. Vinic brandy is added to the AF when the desired amount of sugar (Brix) is reached, thus resulting in a fortified wine.
Maynard's Pink Port Wine presents bright wine with a pink hue. It has aromas of fresh red fruits and floral notes. On the palate, nuances of ripe strawberries, blackberries, and cherries.
Ready to be enjoyed as soon as the bottle is opened. Drink very chilled. Perfect to accompany canapés and fresh fruit salads. It can also be served in a cocktail, with plenty of ice and some mint leaves.
