Esporão Extra Virgem Selecção Olive Oil

Esporão Selecção Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a complex and harmonious oil crafted from a careful selection of traditional Portuguese olive varieties — Cobrançosa, Galega, Picual, Azeiteira, Frantoio, and others — grown under integrated production in the Alentejo. Harvested between October and November from olives in different maturity stages, the fruit is cold-extracted (max 24 °C) just hours after collection. Using rapid milling, a heat exchanger, centrifuge and immediate filtration, this oil preserves intense herbal and floral aromas and fruit character. The maximum acidity is a very low 0.2% (free acidity), marking it as a high-quality extra virgin oil

On the nose Esporão Selecção Extra Virgin Olive Oil reveals fresh cut grass, green tomato vine, tomato leaf and green banana peel, with underlying herbal and floral notes. The palate is elegant and balanced, with a fluid entry, well-integrated bitterness, a spicy kick, and a persistent finish that brings green walnut and fig leaf tones. Perfect for use on steamed vegetables, gazpacho, fresh salads, grilled meats, finishing off a dish fresh from the oven, or simply paired with good bread.
