Monte da Peceguina Red Wine is produced at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova in the Alentejo, from a blend of Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah, and Touriga Franca. Harvested by hand, the grapes are fermented in traditional lagares and conical vats at controlled temperatures, with gentle foot treading to preserve freshness and character. The wine is partially aged in French oak barrels for several months, enhancing its balance and complexity
In the glass, Monte da Peceguina Red Wine shows a deep ruby color with purple reflections. The nose reveals ripe red fruits, wild berries, and subtle floral notes, while the palate is smooth and elegant, with silky tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, persistent finish. Versatile at the table, it pairs beautifully with roasted meats, game dishes, and aged cheeses, and has good ageing potential of 5 to 7 years.
