<p></p><p><span>Established in 1958, Herdade da Farizoa is located in the Alentejo village of Terrugem, 17km from the historic town of Elvas, in the Borba subregion.The property has a total area of 157 hectares (388 acres), being 60 hectares (146 acres) vineyards. <p></p><p>On the hot plains of the Baixo Alentejo, just a few kilometres from the city of Beja, is one of the oldest wine estates in the region. Its vineyards represent decades of history that Henrique Uva has preserved and farmed for many years and which he always wanted to develop as an independent producer.<br />In 2004, he achieved his dream, with the project that goes by the name of Henrique Uva/Herdade da Mingorra. The Winery is surrounded by 1,400 hectares of a landscape that can be considered exuberant, such is the diversity of plants and fauna, with several river basins forming veritable oases. The Winery is a true place of worship. A place where modernity and functionality can be found alongside indelible traditional techniques.</p>

<p><span>Luisa Amorim discovered the Alentejo at an early age - where the greens and browns of the cork oak trees mixed with the holm oaks and olive trees, in an immense and seemingly infinite territory, as she stayed in the region before heading south for her summer holidays in the Algarve. In addition to cork, which plays a central role in her family universe, Luisa soon discovered that wine is one of her great passions. She later began to manage the Quinta Nova of Nossa Senhora do Carmo estate in the Douro and the Taboadella estate in the Dão region. Her family originally acquired the Herdade Aldeia de Cima estate in 1994. In 2017 she decided to rebuild the small village and plant a vineyard in the Serra do Mendro, which soon became a life project</span></p>
