Duorum Reserva Reserva is a premium Douro DOC red wine, made from old vines (50–100 years) in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior regions, planted on steep schist terraces. The blend includes traditional Portuguese varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Sousão. Grapes are hand-harvested into small 15 kg boxes, carefully sorted, destemmed, and undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks with robotic treading, pump-overs, and delestage, followed by extended maceration with the skins for up to 18 days, depending on the vintage.
Duorum Reserva Reserva Red Wine is aged for 18 to 24 months in French oak barrels (70% new and 30% second use), giving it great structure and complexity. It shows a deep ruby color and aromas of ripe blackberries, violets, exotic spices, and fine oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and elegant, with firm yet ripe tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish. With around 14–14.5% alcohol, this wine is perfect for aging and pairs beautifully with red meats and hearty dishes. The wine is crafted by winemakers João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco, whose partnership brings together decades of Douro winemaking expertise.
