Rui Reguinga is one of the most renowned Portuguese oenologists, recognized for his mastery and dedication to terroir.
In 2009 he was elected "Winemaker of the Year" by the Revista de Vinhos, won several Trophy's and gold medals with his wines, and has been a member of the jury in several editions of the prestigious "International Wine Challenge", "Decanter World Wine Awards" , "Concours Mondial de Bruxelles".

Rui Reguinga was born in 1966, in Almeirim, in Ribatejo, in a family with roots in the world of wine. Son and grandson of vitivinicultores, grew up with the dream of pursuing a career in the area. This vocation took shape after graduating in Food Engineering from the Higher Institute of Agronomy in Lisbon, followed by a postgraduate degree in Wine Marketing at the Catholic University of Porto (ESBP) and a specialization in "Dégustation des Vins" by the University of Bordeaux .

Rui is the flying enologist of Quinta do Quetzal since 2010.
