<p>On tasting, Colheita Bual 2005 displays a rich amber-gold colour with reflections of old gold. Aromas are complex and mature, with dried fruits, caramel, toasted nuts and hints of orange peel. The palate is rich and luscious but balanced by vibrant acidity; flavours of fig, honey, and walnut linger in a long finish. With its established vintage character, this Madeira is wonderful as an after-dinner wine or paired with desserts, nuts or cheese.</p>

Aromas are intense and distinctive, with notes of dried fruits and candied fruits, subtle spice, and biscuit. On the palate it is medium-rich, very balanced and delicate, culminating in a long, sumptuous finish with flavours of spices, figs, and candied dates macerated in brandy. Alcohol is 19% ABV, offering a decadent yet well-tempered sweetness that makes it a perfect contemplative wine, ideal after dessert or enjoyed slowly on its own.</p>
