The story of Henriques & Henriques, founded by João Gonçalves Henriques, dates back to 1850. After his death in 1912, a partnership was established between his two sons, Francisco Eduardo and Joaquim Henriques, which gave rise to the name Henriques & Henriques . From the earliest times, Henriques & Henriques occupied a prominent place in viticulture and the art of making wine. In 1913 the family interests were constituted in a company of the family that, in 1925, began its activity like exporter of its wines to the detriment of the local supply to other exporters

<p></p><p>H.M.Borges was founded in 1877 by Henrique Menezes Borges, who dedicated his whole life to the search for a selection of wines produced in Madeira Island, in order to proceed to their aging.</p>
<p></p><p>The total area of the island of Madeira is 732 Km2 and the extension of the Wine Region is about 500 hectares. It is a unique landscape and characterized by the rugged orography of the relief. Particular soil conditions of volcanic origin, mostly basaltic, and proximity to the sea, associated with the climatic conditions, where the summers are hot and humid and the mild winters, give the wine unique and unique characteristics</p>
<p>On the palate, Cossard Gordon almsey 10 Years Old Madeira presents a warm chestnut colour with golden highlights. Aromas are rich and complex, featuring dried fruits, toffee and spices. The flavour is sweet, concentrated and full in the mouth, with layers of mellow fruits, citrus-like orange notes and spice, finishing long and delicious. It has an alcohol content of 19%, high residual sugar (~115 g/L) and total acidity of 6.5 g/L (tartaric). It is excellent with desserts, rich chocolate puddings, fruit-based sweets or cheeses, and remains stable for several months after opening.</p>

Therefore they started storing as much Madeira Wine as possible, letting it slowly mature inside the barrels for future generations to be able to enjoy it further. For that reason, D’Oliveiras is the only Madeira Wine company that owns Madeira Wine bottles and Barrels from as far as the 1850’s that can still be commercially purchased.</p>

In 1811 he founded his own business as a wine shipper and general trader, with brothers Thomas and George, and started to set the foundation for the family and the island itself with the production of the most famous and unique wine in the world – Madeira wine</p> <p></p> <p> </p> <p></p>
