Following an old passion, shared by his son James, "Pasha" was found to be the name that better represents the wine, as it was given to provincial governors in the Ottoman Empire, which corresponded, in the western world, to the title of "excellence".

Founded  by Joaquim  Lopes, agricultural engineer for over 30 years, the Paxá Wines represents the best in Algarve regarding  wine.
With an implantation of  7.5 hectares, located southwest of Silves, a historic city with large wine references, Quinta do Outeiro is influenced by the nearby sea, sun exposure, the associated microclimate and even the predominance of argillaceous soil that helps to form a special "terroir".
