For more than three centuries, the Paço do Conde Estate has been owned by the Castelo Branco family. The origin of one of the oldest agricultural enterprises in the country, founded in 1928 under the name Sociedade Agrícola Paço do Conde, is now managed by the current owners, José António Ferrão Castelo Branco, Luís Miguel Ferrão Castelo Branco and Maria Luísa Castelo Branco Schmidt, grandchildren of the founder.

<p></p><p><span>Quinta de S. José is a family project that began in early 1999 by the will of the João’s father, Ruy Brito e Cunha, due to the excellent location of the houses in the Quinta, practically on the side of the river.</span></p>
<p></p><p>The wines of Solar dos Lobos are the result of a triple selection of clusters that only came from our 75 ha of vineyard. The first selection starts near to the painter stage, where a thinning of bunches is made, in order to select just those which will allow to obtain the maximum quality. The second selection takes place during the harvest, when workers are alerted to cut just the grapes which are in perfect sanitary condidition. The third selection is made during the winery grape entry as the recolt is discharged from 20 kg boxes to the mat of choice, where 2 to 4 people remove all the leaves, branches and the clusters which show no quality: being too green or too mature.</p>
<p>On the nose,Carlos Reynolds Red Wine shows fresh, fruit-forward aromas—rich in black plum, cherry, and hints of floral compote. The palate delivers elegant yet concentrated flavors, with smooth tannins, balanced structure, and a lingering, refined finish. When the company first started, wines were produced and sold wholesale and unbranded. <p></p><p>Susana Esteban A Centenária White Wine presents fresh and delicate nose with cherry notes coming from the mix of grape varieties of the Sierra vineyards. The mouth preserves freshness and delicacy, with firm but smooth tannins tannins that make it a wine with a long ageing potential.</p>
