Founded in 1854 by the descendants of the Duke of Lencastre, surrounded by cork oaks and eucalyptus trees from Australia, the Herdade da Calada is hidden between the gentle hills of the Alentejo. <p></p><p>The Sovibor - Soc. Vinhos de Borba, Lda. Is a Commercial Society by Quotas constituted by public deed, the 16 of December of 1968.<br />It is the result of the merger of two small producers who started their activities many years before 1968 and later created the firms Manuel Joaquim Mira and Domingos Luiz Pinto & Filho, Lda., Both with wide traditions in the wine field. Therefore, and as a result of such merger, SOVIBOR is managed by people traditionally linked to the wine business.</p>
<p></p> <p>Porta da Ravessa Grande Escolga has a very intense, deep colour and an aroma with notes of black fruit and ripe berries, well integrated with nuances from the barrels in which it was aged. On the palate it is dense, deep and structured, with a very persistent finish that gives it a distinctive profile full of character</p> <p>Porta da Ravessa, a brand inspired by the iconic door of the centuries-old Redondo Castle, where even today the are still visible today. <p>Tiro no Escuro White Wine has a gold colour. Aroma of medium intensity, citrus developing towards stewed fruit and compote due to its evolution in French oak barrels. Medium acidity, long finish highlighting its ageing in bottle with some dried fruit. Well integrated wood notes</p>
