Of the 420 hectares of land that compose the Herdade da Calada only 35 are vineyard. The low production is not by chance, and even less a fatality: it is a conscience option for quality instead of quantity, and the assurance of top of the line wines, made from the Alentejo main casts, with full respect for nature and the region. Situated in central Alentejo, the vineyard enjoys the dark Mediterranean soils, in a warm and dry landscape, that characterizes the area.

The philosophy of the Winery is to maintain the regional characteristics and character of all the wines, without losing site of the goal of producing State of the Art wines.
