Fundação Eugénio Almeida EA White Wine represents Adega Cartuxa's proposal for everyday drinking and informal occasions, first produced in 1992. It is a blend of the traditional local grape varieties Roupeiro, Arinto, and Antão Vaz, all grown in granite soils. The winemaking process is designed to preserve the grapes' freshness, with a focus on a total destemming and light crushing, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16ºC
After fermentation, Fundação Eugénio Almeida EA White Wine undergoes careful filtration, blending, and stabilization before bottling. This process results in a wine that is ready to be enjoyed, showcasing a clean and vibrant profile. It is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature between 10ºC and 12ºC, making it a refreshing and accessible choice for a wide range of occasions.
