Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with quality, time and art. Thus it has been since the company’s founding in the eighteenth century by Bernardo Ferreira, whose formula was refined by his descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, known affectionately as "Ferreirinha" or "Ferreirinha-da-Régua".

Cara a Cara is Joao Silva e Sousa's personal vinic project.

Great-grandson, great-grandson and grandson of wine producers in the Dão region, João Silva e Sousa began working in wineries and in his grandfather's vineyards at the age of 15. As a winemaker, he has worked in various internationally renowned houses. He was co-founder of two companies where he created brands such as Castello d'Alba, Lua Cheia em Vinhas Velhas, Andreza, Maria Papoila, among others. He started his personal project with the brand Cara a Cara. He also works as a consultant for wineries in the Verdes, Douro, Alentejo and Algarve.

The Series wines represent the passion for innovation and experimentation in the search for new and interesting wines.

This effort reflects the backstage work developed by winemaking and viticulture team, through a selection of more than 30 different indiginous grape varietals (some close to extinction) planted in Real Companhia Velha estates in the last 20 years. Thus, the grand objective is to search for a new style of Douro wine through the most distinct varieties and test it amongst our consumers

Palato do Coa started in 2007, when the winemaker Carlos Magalhães challenged 5 of his friends to buy Quinta da Saudade, located in the Douro Superior, Vila Nova de Foz Côa; considered by many one of the best terroir of the Douro region, in Portugal. With the goal to produce the best Douro wines, the estate has 7.5 hectares of old vineyards and 8.5 hectares planted in 2010

The Quinta das Carvalhas is a property of great beauty and spectacularity, with a predominant position on the slope of the left bank of the Douro River in Pinhão, which extends along the slopes of the right bank of the affluent Torto River.
The earliest written references to the Quinta date back to 1759, with its magnificent Old Vines, of post-phylloxeric planting, reaching the respectable age of a century

Javali From Friends to friends Red Wine

Garnet red, brown halo. When the wine is young, the aroma is intense, with notes of black fruit and floral nuances reminiscent of violet. With the long stage in the best French oak barrels and the prolonged and deserved rest in the bottle, there are aromas of black cherry, plum jam, berries, wet earth, leather, with notes of black pepper, cedar, cigar box and cinnamon. The oxidative status of this category of wine gives it an enormous complexity, recognized by most demanding connoisseurs. The structure is magnificent, robust, suggesting a long persistence in the mouth

Quinta do Portal red Wine is made with a very carefully winemaking, using gravity and precise techniques. This wine is full bodied with a ripe berry colour and fruity aromas marked by Tinta Roriz that is responsible for the intense aroma of young fresh fruit and by floral notes from the Touriga Nacional

Quinta do Javali Special Cuvee Red Wine presents dark red colour, with almost an opaque center. Nose dominated by fruit, essentially ripe black one. You can also unlock floral hints of crushed violet petals. There are also notes of undergrowth, with allusions to bark aromas, along with bitter chocolate. Long aging in high quality barrels don't mask the wine. On the palate, the structure has a huge dimension, supported by good tannins, which enhance the long persistence of evidence and considerable aging capacity
