In 1988, A Danish-American couple set out in a sailboat to find a place to start a family and plant a vineyard. They came to Alentejo, and in a land of white varieties, they planted red. And so begins the story of Cortes de Cima Family Vineyards
<p></p><p>It is prodigious the love that is felt in Jorge Rosas, son of José Rosas and great-grandson of Adriano Ramos Pinto, for his farm, for the vineyards, for the wine, for the wine cellar of aesthetics. At Quinta da Touriga we find the roots of the Douro wine and visionary men who found the chimera in the Douro.</p>

<p></p><p>Natus Red Wine</p> <p>At the heart of Vidigueira, in the southern foothills of Serra do Mendro, in poor schist soils, the bush vines that make this wine are planted in a hot climate, buffered with cool nights. The traditional grape varieties, mainly Trincadeira and Castelão, were hand-picked and foot trodden for 2 days. At the initialization of the spontaneous fermentation, they were pressed and the must kept in uncoated 19th century clay pots (Talhas) until the end of the alcoholic fermentation. The 12-month aging was made in centenary 600L barrels made of Portuguese oak and chestnut, and 300L used French barrels.</p>
<p></p><p>Natus White Wine</p> <p>At the heart of Vidigueira, in the southern foothills of Serra do Mendro, in poor schist soils, the vines are planted in a hot climate, buffered with cool nights. The traditional grape varieties, mainly Roupeiro, Antão Vaz and Gouveio, were hand-picked and foot trodden for 2 days.</p> <p>At the spontaneous start of fermentation, the grapes were pressed and the must kept in 19th century clay pots (Talhas) and used oak</p> <p>barrels until the end of the alcoholic fermentation. The wine ages for 8 months in full lees, with a slight agitation every month.</p>
<p></p><p>Nunes Barata is a wine project located in Cabeção (Upper Alentejo, in the north region of Portugal). Due to its exceptional terroir, is an area with a unique background in the production of high quality wines, full of character and is known for its famous wines made in clay pots. Here, the vineyard and the wine were, since always, the main economic activity.</p>

<p></p><p>Vinha do Mouro presents full bodied. Good acidity, very soft in the mouth with flavor focused on fruit, without thereby becoming too sweet, and a good final persistence</p>
<p>Meias Verdelho na Anfora White Wine has a light yellow citrus colour. The nose is fresh, with hints of white flowers, peaches, citrus notes and a subtle oxidative note (terracotta, ceramics/clay). It can also have savoury notes. The palate is dry, with good concentration and assertive acidity. It has a citrus flavour, with some clay sensation, a salty touch and a persistent, mineral and elegant finish. It is described as dense, complex and with high acidity.</p> <p>Excellent with seafood dishes (such as mussels), fish, salads and can also harmonise with different types of meat and mature </p>
