<p></p> <p>Vinha das Virtudes, a project that has as its main inspiration the seven virtues of the epic poem of Prudencio, a Roman poet who lived between the years 348 and 410. It portrays in Psichomachia a battle between virtues and vices, which illustrates the struggle of soul against the seven deadly sins, in which virtues always triumph. </p>
<p></p><p>In February 2009, João Afonso and his family acquired a small farm of 6 hectares in the Natural Park of Serra de S. Mamede. It is located in the amphitheater of the village of Reguengo at an altitude of 600 meters, looking south and Alentejo at lose sight of The property has 3.9 hectares of very old vineyard (in 1932 already existed) divided between plots of white grapes (16) and paints (12), all mixed and consociated with olive groves (which does not allow Alentejo DOC wine production) .</p> <p>Biodiversity and ecology are the engines of the project: the current type of agriculture is organic (Ecocert certification) and the aim is to practice biodynamic agriculture at 100% in the next 3 years. All agricultural work - in the treatment and maintenance of soils and plants - is manual.</p>
<p></p><p>Discordia wines are produced at the Vale d' EvoraEstate, situated just a few kilometers from the beautiful village of Mertola, inside the Vale do Guadiana Nature Preserve, the vines of Discordia produce airy and well-concentrated fruit, resulting in wines with their own unique character.</p>
<p></p><p>Originating from centenary vines of the Moreto variety, non-grafted, free standing and with very low yields; we found in this living heritage an inspiration and at the same time a challenge, to create this wine.</p> <p></p>
<p>Monte da Peceguina White Wine is highly versatile at the table, pairing beautifully with seafood, grilled fish, sushi, and fresh salads. It also complements poultry, creamy pasta, and soft cheeses, thanks to its balance of fruit and acidity. <p></p><p>Citrus color, slightly golden. With aromas of tropical fruits and some slight mineral note. The palate is fresh with good acidity, elegant and shows up very clearly with the fruit, finishing smooth with medium persistence.</p>
