Nunes Barata is a wine project with origin in Cabeção, municipality of Mora, in Alto Alentejo.
This area, the fruit of an exceptional terroir, has a distinct history in the production of quality wines, full of character and was known by its famous wines in carving. Here, vineyards and wine have always been the main economic activity.
The brothers Luis Miguel and José Manuel represent the seventh generation of the Nunes Barata family, which has always had strong traditions in viticulture, thus following a family tradition that already comes from the early nineteenth century.
