Luís Cabral de Almeida was born in 1964 into a family for whom wine has always been more than a simple pleasure. And if both origins send us to a farm in Viseu, and therefore to Dão, where he started his career at Sogrape Vinhos in 1991, his first professional harvest was in the Douro and after 10 years in Argentina, his destination is now the Alentejo - "region that has always fascinated me by the notion of horizon".
He began his studies in Agronomy Engineering at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD). He studied oenology with a postgraduate degree from the University of Charles Stuart in Australia and other technical courses in Bordeaux.
