<p>In the glass, Cossart Gordon Malvasia Colheita 2008 displays a coppery-gold colour with golden nuances and brilliant clarity. The aroma is intensely characteristic: tea and marmalade, candied fruit and dried fruits such as nuts and hazelnuts. On the palate, the wine is soft, sweet and enveloping, with fresh acidity that supports its long retronasal finish evoking fruit cake, honey and brandy. It is excellent as an aperitif but is also well suited with dishes such as onion soup, roast game and caramelized vegetables, Peking duck or cheeses such as Parmesan.</p>
