Ramisco is a rare expression of one of Portugal’s most distinctive grape varieties.
Monte Cascas Ramisco Red Wine shows a pale ruby hue, it reveals aromas of earth, wild herbs, and faded roses. On the palate, it is elegant yet austere, marked by mineral and earthy notes, all beautifully balanced into a long, persistent finish. This is a wine that speaks of place, time, and tradition, carrying the unmistakable Atlantic influence.
Sourced from sandy coastal vineyards less than a kilometer from the ocean, the vines thrive under cool breezes, morning fog, and salty winds. Aged for 18 months in French oak, this wine offers remarkable aging potential — up to 40 years. Perfect to enjoy now or to cellar, Monte Cascas Ramisco pairs beautifully with mushrooms, game dishes, or simply savored on its own with a fine cut of filet mignon. Serve at 14°C to fully appreciate its character and depth.
