<p></p><p>The Conde de Anadia wines are born at the Palace of the Condes Anadia in Mangualde-Viseu.<br />Wine production on the estate dates back to the 18th century. Within the walls of the Palace we find the 10 hectares of vineyards, planted at 500 meters of altitude in granite soils, framed to the west by the majestic Serra da Estrela and flanked by the forest of the property. Belonging to the demarcated region of the Dão (sub-region Terras de Azurara) in the vineyards of the Palace we find the typical varieties of the Dão region: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Encruzado.</p> <p></p>

<p></p><p>Vinha Negrosa is blend of Jaen Vinha Negrosa is blend of Jaen (50%) and Alfrocheiro (50%), the varieties we found more interesting to show a better interpretation of the terroir where the vines are. This vineyard, called Negrosa, is in Vila Nova de Tazem, Serra da Estrela sub-region. The main characteristics are the altitude – 470 to 500 meters, the soil composition – granite stones and sand, and the age of the vines – approximately 30 years old. Delicate aromas with fruit character and some balsamic and peppery notes. Very elegant in the mouth with high felling of freshness and great complexity and concentration. <p></p><p>The Quinta Pedra da Cancela is the fruit of the passion for the wine of the Gouveia family. The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda</p>
