<p></p><p>Susana Esteban was born in Tui, Spain. She holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of La Rioja. She began her trajectory as an oenologist in 1999 at Quinta do Côtto, and later worked as an oenologist at Quita do Crasto between 2002 and 2007. Both farms are located in the Douro. She has worked since the 2007 harvest as a consultant in different Alentejo producers, namely Tiago Cabaço Wines, Herdade do Barrocal, Monte dos Cabaços and Monte da Raposinha.</p>

<p></p><p>The Cartuxa rosé was produced from two plots of Touriga Nacional, planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. Manual harvesting, with subsequent cooling of the grape to 14ºC, before total destemming and optical choice of berries. After pressing (gravity loading), only the drainage and fraction of the must for drainage and low pressure for the fermentation in stainless steel tank and barrel - 10% of the lot fermented in used barrels, intensifying volume and unctuousness. No malolactic fermentation was carried out. Ageing on fine lees for nine months with regular bâtonnage. It was produced for the first time in 2021.</p>
