<p></p><p>Pera Manca White Wine is made from a selection of Arinto and Antão Vaz grape varieties, planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. When the grapes reach their ideal ripeness, they are harvested and transported to the winery, where the technological process begins: total destemming and slight crushing, pressing, cooling and clarification of the must. Part of the batch ferments in stainless steel tanks, the other part in French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 16ºC. Fermentation is followed by ageing on fine lees with periodic batonnage for 12 months. Finally, there is filtration, blending, tartaric and protein stabilisation, final filtration and bottling, followed by a final 10-month bottle ageing.</p>

<p></p><p>Petrichor White Wine has a slight amber colour. It evokes the memory of the smell of rain falling on dry soil, of cut grass and where orange peel stands out. A gastronomic wine with good acidity and tannins from contact with the skins.</p> <p>The grapes are hand-picked early in the morning into small boxes to preserve their freshness, then cooled in a cold room before being vinified.</p>

<p></p><p>Vinha da Rosa Rosé Wine reveals a pale pink colour.  Fine, delicate aroma. On the palate it's fresh and structured, with notes of raspberry and tropical fruit predominating, with a long finish</p> <p>After careful selection and sorting at the entrance to the winery, the grapes were destemmed and gently pressed.  Fermentation took place at low temperatures in stainless steel vats. Part of the blend fermented and aged in used 500-litre barrels.</p>

<p></p><p>Vinha do Lado Red Wine presents intense colour, with aromas of jam, ripe fruit, truffles and vanilla. On the palate it has good acidity, soft but firm tannins and a long finish.</p> <p>The grapes are destemmed and carefully selected at the hand-picking table. After crushing, they are trodden in marble presses using the traditional foot treading method.  Transfer to stainless steel vats where the alcoholic fermentation finishes. This is followed by 12 days of post-fermentation maceration.</p>

It is the result of two harvests 2021 and 2022, made from two hectares of grapes from Monte da Penha’s old vines with the varities Arinto, Fernão Pires, Roupeiro and Trincadeira das Pratas. This exclusive batch of 2936 bottles was prepared by our winemaker Susana Esteban and by Francisco Fino.</p>

<p></p><p>Monte da Penha Grande Reserva Red Wine presents red ruby color, on the nose it has a good freshness, complex wood and spices. On the mouth it is fresh with good acidity, the fruit is well present, intense and long after taste.</p> <p>The wines of this house - Monte da Pena - age superbly, and its collection of old vintages is a gem that tells the story of the history and geography of this incredible region. The talented Susana Esteban has been in charge of the winemaking since 2020.</p> <p></p>
