<p>The Quinta do Côtto, in Cidadelhe, relatively close to the Régua, is a property of 75 hectares of vineyard and a plot built in the eighteenth century. The owners of the farm, the Montez Champalimaud family, exclusively produced Port wine until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980 Miguel Champalimaud launched the first Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, consolidating the concept of Douro's quinta wines, which are still rare in the region.<br />The Quinta do Côtto brand has grown greatly in notoriety since then, until it became one of the most classic and prestigious references in the Douro region</p>

<p>The Quinta do Filoco vineyards produce the best nectars of the Douro region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vineyards and the Cellar were being modernized with new equipment, combining tradition and modernity in the well know how to make wine.
