Quinta dos Termos Alto do Pocinho Reserva 2019 Red Wine
Attractive aroma, with notes of fruit that completely overlap with those of wood. In the mouth, it shows surprising acidity, remarkable structure, light astringency and delicate retronasal aroma, which gives it a long and seductive finish. A wine that tastes better than it smells!
Quinta dos Termos is situated in the center of Portugal, on the slopes of the South slope of Serra da Estrela (highest mountain of Portugal - 2,000 m), thus protected from the cold north winds and sunny by its exposure to the South, reaching temperatures in the summer sometimes higher than 50ºC, which leads to a higher degree of maturation, giving rise to complex, aromatic wines of good consistency

On the nose, Quinta do Poço do Lobo Reserva Red Wine offers a refined bouquet of wild berries, blackcurrant, cocoa, and tobacco, complemented by subtle spice and oak nuances. The palate is fresh and well-balanced, with polished tannins and a long, persistent finish. This wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats, game dishes, or aged cheeses, and it benefits from decanting or cellaring to further reveal its full potential. Serve between 16–18 °C for best expression.

Years available for purchase.

Colheitas are dated Tawnies aged in small casks. The minimum age requirement is 7 years, but the tradition at Niepoort is to age several more years before bottling. The wine takes on a Tawny hue. Wood and nutty tones are evident on the palate due to the wine’s slow ageing in old casks. Colheita goes well with dry fruits desserts and the portuguese "Leite Creme queimado". As a starter, the combination with foie gras is impressive

Given the producer's passion for Burgundy and German white wines, there are also two small plots with the Chardonnay and Riesling varieties. The viticulture is made in total respect for the environment, without chemical fertilizers, insecticides and herbicides. The winery is modern and minimalist wine production, in order to respect and give identity to the wines produced.

Beyra Gouveio White Wine presents Tropical notes of passion fruit and pineapple in balance with citrus notes of tangerine peel and lime with wet stone. In the mouth it is fat, with fresh and vibrant acidity with notes equal to those of the nose.

With a common origin in the Beira interior, share a passion for the land where they were born, for their traditions, smells and aromas, there continuing to credit and bet heavily on a territory that they consider unique. They are wines with a very fresh and mineral character, with exuberant acidity but above all are wines with soul and proof that with good wines you can make good friends!
