<p></p><p>Casal Garcia was born in 1939, a year in which the vintage was particularly good. Returning by train from the grape harvest in the Douro, the French oenologist Euge Hisse decided to interrupt his journey to Oporto after passing the vines of the Quinta da Aveleda, in Penafiel. The name came about by itself, since the wine was produced from one of the vines of Aveleda: that of Casal Garcia</p>
<p></p><p>Gatão is a cool, light wine; youthful, entertaining and daring. It is a wine for moments of relaxation when we can “switch off” and be induced into a good mood. It is an ideal wine to accompany day-to-day activities, and which, due to its natural coolness, re-animates the spirit.</p>
<p></p><p>The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of MESSIAS family. <span id="result_box" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Since its foundation</span> that MESSIAS <span lang="en" xml:lang="en">has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions:</span> Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. <p></p><p>Gatao vinho verde is an aromatic wine, cool and youthful. The temperature must emphasize these attributes to the fullest extent, so that the wine must be served at a temperature between 8 and 10 Celsius</p>

Nowadays Fiuza produces wines from Portuguese and international grapes with grapes that come from their one estates: Quinta da Requeixada and Quinta da Granja. The most important red varieties are: Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and the most important white varieteies are: Alvarinho, Arinto, Vital, Fernão Pires.</p>

It was there that since childhood he became familiar with the culture of the vineyard and the production of wine.<br />The Alvarinho grape variety and its wine, produced there, entered his life in such a way that today Anselmo Mendes and Alvarinho are confused</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta das Arcas has around 50ha, 35ha of vineyards stand out, around 30 years old, where under the influence of a very particular micro-climate grapes of high quality of the Loureiro, Trajadura and Arinto grapes are obtained.</p>
