<p></p><p>In a natural amphitheater with a southern exposure on the slopes of the river Douro, located on the border between the granitic zone of the Vinhos Verdes Region and the shale region of the Port Wines, Quinta de Covela is located since the 16th century.<br />With panoramic views over the river, the farmhouse has 49 hectares, 18 of which planted with vines, distributed in two parishes of the Baixo Douro, São Tomé de Covelas and Santa Cruz do Douro, recognized for their extraordinary natural beauty and rich cultural history</p>

<p></p><p>Quinta D'Amares wines carry a legacy of history in its cradle, represented by the magnificent Monastery of Rendufe (11th century) and the Aqueduct (17th century)</p>
<p></p><p>In 1917, Lago Cerqueira founds the Caves of Calçada with the construction of a cellar in the House. Casa da Calçada, moreover, had long produced wines, and had a crown that proved it: that which is today the oldest vineyard in the region.</p>

<p></p><p>Sousa Lopes Reserva White Wine is straw-coloured, with an aroma of orange blossom combined with hints of apricot, ginger and spices, all still very young. In the mouth, it's dry, creamy and sophisticated, with a perfect acid balance as the dominant note.</p> <p>Ideal with soft sheep's cheese, prawn curry and roast fish. It should be served at a temperature of 12 to 14ºC.</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta São Gião Espadeiro is an excellent wine to be consumed without accompaniment or as an aperitif, with salads, light dishes of oriental and Italian cuisine, based on vegetables, white meats and fish</p>
<p>Agri-Roncão comercializes the brands DR, Quinta da Levandeira do Roncão and Quinta de Linhares. Agri-Roncão may be a difficult name to pronounce but for those who taste its wines, will certainly be a name difficult to forget</p> <p></p>
