"From childhood I accompanied my father on his trips to the Douro. Harvesting in particular was a "magical" period for me. One of the great challenges I had was the creation of the Douro da Poças wine line, started with the Coroa d'Ouro red. "


Jorge Manuel Pintão has been in charge of the Oenology and Quality of Poças team since 1987. He holds a degree in chemistry, with a master's degree in oenology from the "Institut d'Oenologie de Bordeaux", he studied at the prestigious Château Giscours no Médoc in Bordeaux. His art is the result of many awards in international competitions, such as the International Wine Challenge's "Winemaker of Fortified Wine of the Year" in 2001. Wine and chocolate, wine and preserves ... there is no challenge that you do not accept.
