<p></p><p>Quinta da Fonte Souto Red Wine embodies all the strengths of the property’s unique terroir: the freshness and balance afforded by the altitude; the concentration, which derives from mature, low-yielding vines, and the complexity and structure provided by the judicious combination of grape varieties. This red is built around the signature Alicante Bouschet with important contributions from Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Alfrocheiro.</p>

<p></p><p>Quinta da Fonte Souto white wine embodies all the strengths of the property’s unique terroir: the freshness and balance afforded by the altitude; the concentration, which derives from mature, low-yielding vines, and the complexity and structure provided by the barrel fermentation sur-lie (on the lees) with bâtonnage. This white allows for maximum expression of the Arinto, widely regarded as Portugal’s finest white grape variety and has a smaller Verdelho component</p>

<p></p><p>Quinta do Souto Alicante Bouschet Red Wine presents wide-ranging aromatic expression: forest floor, scrub, pine needles and discreet notes of fennel, then giving way to black fruits (blackberry, blueberry), black plum and hints of liquorice. On the palate some chocolate, mushroom/truffle and hints of smoke, showing the good integration of the barrel. Monumental in the mouth, with several layers providing fascinating complexity. Refined tannins combine with good acidity (discreet but present), enhancing the formidable structure. An eminently gastronomic wine with great potential for long storage.</p>
