    Cossart Gordon Bual 1978 Vintage Madeira is an exceptional wine from one of Madeira’s sunniest regions, Calheta, where the Bual grape develops its rich character. Hand-harvested and traditionally foot-trodden in 1978, it was then matured for more than 40 years in old oak casks using the classic Canteiro method. With only 1,294 bottles produced, this rare release represents both heritage and craftsmanship at their finest.

    In the glass, Cossart Gordon Bual 1978 Vintage Madeira shows a bright mahogany colour with golden-green highlights. Aromas of spice, tobacco, cedar, and balsamic notes lead into a palate that is medium-sweet yet vibrant, perfectly balancing richness with fresh acidity. Long, elegant, and complex, this vintage Madeira has been acclaimed by international critics, scoring 95 points from Wine Enthusiast and 94 from Wine Spectator.
