Cossart Gordon Terrantez Vintage 1975 is a rare vintage Madeira from the historically significant Terrantez grape, produced from a single harvest and bottled in 2020. On the nose the wine is deeply complex: spices like black pepper, exotic woods, smoked nutshell and resin, along with macerated dried fruits in rum. The palate starts soft and sweet but then “explodes” into a long, fresh aftertaste full of spicy notes. The finish is vivid and almost salivating, inviting another taste – a masterful balance of intensity, sweetness, and acidity.
