Quinta do Javali Maria Luisa 2019 White Wine

Quinta do Javali Maria Luisa White Wine presents golden colour resulting from the maceration process. Peculiar andchallenging nose. It has a strong aromatic intensity, with notes of fruit of very mature yellow flesh (quince), amplified by the skin maceration. Highlights include notes of caramelized orange peel, crystallized honey, dried fruits and slight earthy and resinous suggestions. To support this aromatic richness fruit of a terroir of excellence, there are harmonious sweet notes of the barrel used of high quality. In the mouth, it is surprising the “acid nerve”, which combines a remarkable acidic freshness with some admirable mature tannins, which migrated smoothly from the whole bunches, which began fermentation in a typical Douro “Lagar” (Yes, in a Lagar! !). Persistence in the mouth is very long, with a positively mineral attack

Pôpa Tinta Amarela presents open ruby colour, delicate aroma of red and blackcurrants, hints of forest, dry earth and a mixture of fresh aromatic herbs. Full of freshness on the palate, fairly light-bodied, delicately structured, with a vegetal flavour.

These are wines that begin to be designed when they are pruned and which, after entering the cellar, undergo as little intervention as possible.

The profile of the wine is determined by the year in climatic terms. Only released in years when the behaviour of the plot meets the expectations of the profile and quality required.

Wines that, by combining freshness with notes of complexity and finesse, together with a suggestive persistence, are well suited to various types of gastronomy and a variety of dishes.

It is first mentioned in a document dated April 1738 but it was only in 1903, when Dom José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. Today, a century and many successes later, a brand-new generation of the Serpa Pimentel family
