Resulted from the union of 15 producers, owners of 18 Quintas spread throughout the best terroirs in the 3 sub-regions of the Douro region (Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior). <p><span>Quinta da Fronteira Reserva harvest of 2015 has a deep, opaque, purple ruby color with a thin cranberry cherry rim. Dark cherry, dusky blackberry, smoky cedar, licorice, and earthy crushed stone aromas. Blackberry, tart spicy plum preserves, and rich oak flavors. Full body, rich grippy wooly tannins, medium plus acidity, and a lingering tart dark fruit and oak finish. Hefty, intense, tannic. I'll revisit this one in a few years.</span></p> <p></p> <p></p>
