<p></p><p>On the nose, very fresh and elegant with notes of wild berries and black cherries in balance with seductive nuances of licorice, the aroma being complexed by discrete wood notes. In the mouth, it is very concentrated, warm, with firm tannins and soft texture, very intense finish and persists to show strongly the strength of the wines of the Alto Douro.</p>

Apparently it was an improbable site, being literally a lot of shale, of very difficult plantation. He began to buy land, little by little, with considerable difficulty considering that they were small parcels belonging to a multitude of owners. It took a job worthy of an investigator to identify them until he was able to form the current Quinta do Monte Xisto</p>

<p></p><p><span>Nuno Aguiar (winemaker, former collaborator of Anselmo Mendes) and António Olazabal Ferreira (marine biologist in accelerated conversion to winemaker) have launched a wine called Boina, the first one is from 2015 and has a very appealing aesthetic. A series of wines that the duo began to produce in the Douro and in Trás-os-Montes, under the Portugal Boutique Winery project. The brand Boina groups the wines without wood of the Douro.</span></p>
