<p></p><p>Cara a Cara is Joao Silva e Sousa's personal vinic project.</p> <p>Great-grandson, great-grandson and grandson of wine producers in the Dão region, João Silva e Sousa began working in wineries and in his grandfather's vineyards at the age of 15. As a winemaker, he has worked in various internationally renowned houses. He was co-founder of two companies where he created brands such as Castello d'Alba, Lua Cheia em Vinhas Velhas, Andreza, Maria Papoila, among others. He started his personal project with the brand Cara a Cara. He also works as a consultant for wineries in the Verdes, Douro, Alentejo and Algarve.</p>

<p></p> <p>The Crasto Red is made from traditional Douro red grape varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Franca. Unoaked, it is produced to be a fresh, fruity, easy-to-drink wine. This Douro wine has a deep ruby colour with very ripe red fruit aromas. Very fruity on the palate, with good structure and light tannins which make it a very pleasant wine</p> <p></p> <p></p>

<p></p><p>The 2015 vintage gave rise to a wine dominated by red fruit aromas, but also with black fruit and some citrus, which makes its nose very attractive and seductive. Dense and structured but full of flavours and soft tannins. Despite its age it is still a very young wine, full of energy and freshness</p>
