Cão Que Ladra is a limited-production red wine from the Douro Superior, crafted by winemaker António Braga. Made from 100% Mourisco Roxo sourced from a 40-year-old vineyard at 550 m altitude on schist soils, the grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with partial whole-cluster fermentation in traditional lagares. The wine is aged for 10 months in used French oak barrels to preserve varietal purity and elegance.
Cão que Ladra Red Wine presents bright ruby color, aromas of wild forest fruits and a subtle herbal note, with oak perfectly integrated. On the palate it is elegant, with fine tannins, firm acidity, and a balanced, gastronomic character.
