<p></p><p>Vinha do Carril Red Wine is the Niepoort family's latest iconic wine, from a centenary vineyard that surrounds the Nápoles estate in the upper Corgo. The natural heterogeneity of an old vineyard, the grape varieties that make it up and the stories that have lived through its 100 years of existence, mark its complexity and enhance the Douro as a region capable of producing world-class wines.</p> <p>Vinha do Carril shows displays a pale, bright red hue, with purple glints. <p></p><p>The Quinta do Côtto, in Cidadelhe, relatively close to the Régua, is a property of 75 hectares of vineyard and a plot built in the eighteenth century. The owners of the farm, the Montez Champalimaud family, exclusively produced Port wine until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980 Miguel Champalimaud launched the first Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, consolidating the concept of Douro's quinta wines, which are still rare in the region.<br />The Quinta do Côtto brand has grown greatly in notoriety since then, until it became one of the most classic and prestigious references in the Douro region</p>
