On the palate, it's rich, dense, and full-bodied, characterized by a fascinating interplay of vibrant acidity and a grippy, tannic structure from the skin contact, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish. Its robust nature makes it an excellent pairing for hearty fish and seafood, white meats, dishes with rich or earthy sauces, and a wide array of cheeses, including semi-hard and aged varieties. <p></p><p>At the end of the 90's, with the development of the activity, João Pedro Araújo's family decided to acquire Quinta da Vegia, in order to start producing red wines.</p> <p>Located in the Dão Region, next to the town of Penalva do Castelo, it currently has 20 ha of vineyards. His mindset followed a careful choice of grape varieties - Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Alfrocheiro and Tinto Cão, Encruzado and Bical - in order to create Quinta da Vegia wines.</p>
