Verdelho is a regional Alentejo wine that is the result of this white grape’s excellent adaptation to Herdade do Esporão’s terroir, and one that aims to highlight its unique characteristics, highlighting the mineral, fresh and exotic nature of a grape traditionally used in Madeira wine

<p></p><p>Quinta do Ventozelo is one of the largest and oldest Douro Quintas. It has been passing through different hands over the centuries, hands that shaped it and transformed it to what it is today.</p>
<p></p><p>Monte Velho Red was launched for the first time in 1992, its name comes from the monte located next to the Caridade reservoir, at Herdade do Espor. At the time, the wine boasted the same origin and philosophy as Espor Reserva but was created to reach more people and make daily wine consumption an experience.</p>

<p></p><p>Susana Esteban was born in Tui, Spain. She holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of La Rioja. She began her trajectory as an oenologist in 1999 at Quinta do Côtto, and later worked as an oenologist at Quita do Crasto between 2002 and 2007. Both farms are located in the Douro. She has worked since the 2007 harvest as a consultant in different Alentejo producers, namely Tiago Cabaço Wines, Herdade do Barrocal, Monte dos Cabaços and Monte da Raposinha.</p>
