Quinta da Plansel are situated about 100km from Lisbon, in the southeastern part of the city of Montemor-o-Novo. They have around 75 hectares of vineyards that are an integral part of the DOC area of Évora
<p></p><p>Quinta de São José de Peramanca is located five kilometres from Évora, on National Road 114. The large and traditional house, marked by baroque architecture, and the church of San José adjacent to it facilitate identification. With 34 hectares, the Quinta has in the manor house and in its vineyard its greatest patrimony.</p> <p>As for the peculiar name of the Quinta "Peramanca" (Pedra-Manca), it means "oscillating stone, not very safe", is explained by the existence in the region of large granite stones in oscillating balance. Since Roman times and over the centuries, the surroundings to the west of Évora have been considered as one of the most important regions producing quality wine, and the area has become known as "Terras de Peramanca", given the abundance of these oscillating stones.</p>
<p></p><p>Susana Esteban was born in Tui, Spain. She holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of La Rioja. She began her trajectory as an oenologist in 1999 at Quinta do Côtto, and later worked as an oenologist at Quita do Crasto between 2002 and 2007. Both farms are located in the Douro. She has worked since the 2007 harvest as a consultant in different Alentejo producers, namely Tiago Cabaço Wines, Herdade do Barrocal, Monte dos Cabaços and Monte da Raposinha.</p>
<p></p> <p>Pera Manca White Wine is made from a selection of Arinto and Antão Vaz grape varieties, planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. When the grapes reach their ideal ripeness, they are harvested and transported to the winery, where the technological process begins: total destemming and slight crushing, pressing, cooling and clarification of the must. Part of the batch ferments in stainless steel tanks, the other part in French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 16ºC. Fermentation is followed by ageing on fine lees with periodic batonnage for 12 months. Finally, there is filtration, blending, tartaric and protein stabilisation, final filtration and bottling, followed by a final 10-month bottle ageing.</p>
<p></p><p>Teixinha Roupeiro White Wine is characterised by a great aromatic expression of white-fleshed fruit. The wine maintains its fruity character on the palate, but at the same time it is serious and austere, supported by a beautiful acidity. It has a long and dry finish.</p> <p>Teixinha preserve the tradition of the new generation of the family participating in labels, but now with a new and also original challenge: that of each of them reporting their experiences about what Teixinha represents through writing. On the labels of Teixinha wines, words will give voice to the memories that make it so special.</p>

A wine that awakens our senses and takes us on a journey of strong sensations. On the palate, lots of volume, balance and a long finish. Is a Commercial Society by Quotas constituted by public deed, the 16 of December of 1968.<br />It is the result of the merger of two small producers who started their activities many years before 1968 and later created the firms Manuel Joaquim Mira and Domingos Luiz Pinto & Filho, Lda., Both with wide traditions in the wine field. Therefore, and as a result of such merger, SOVIBOR is managed by people traditionally linked to the wine business.</p>
