Copo Alegre Vinhas Velhas Red Wine has a concentrated colour. On the nose it's a serious wine, combining floral notes, red fruits, spices and nuts, revealing the complexity of the old vines that gave rise to it. On the palate it is structured, fresh and with excellent acidity. It also reveals its youth through the nerve of its tannins

The 2011 Torre Do Esporao, mostly Alicante Bouschet, Syrah and Touriga Franca along with some others, has been in bottle for some two years now. This is sensual in its texture, caressing and appealing. Yet, it has plenty of power and backbone. Intense on the finish, it is not yet able to express its fine fruit. Yet, in the long run, it seems sophisticated, balanced and very classy. It should age beautifully, too.

A wine with more fruity profile and without the influences of wood ageing. They found the ideal fruit from Dom Martinho vineyard and named it after this vineyard. Quinta do Carmo dates back to the seventheenth century when King D. Joao IV had it buit for a Lady of his court.
